On their first journey to New York Dali and Gala had their first dinner appointment with the Duke of Windsor and his wife Wallis Simpson and as a result of this they became friends. This photograph seems to have been taken at the Lido in Paris at a formal dinner and it depicts the Duke and Dali shaking hands with a photographer in the background. Price : £550-00
