Alexandra "Ali" Fedotowsky is the star of The Bachelorette Season 6. She won the hearts of America as a contestant for Bachelor Jake Pavelka`s affections on The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. She was the leading contender out of the final four bachelorettes vying for Jake`s heart, until she voluntarily left the show to keep her marketing job at Facebook. (Hint: Before taking egregious amounts of time off, read your Employee Handbook first. Duh!) After realizing she`d made a mistake, she attempted to return to the show, but Jake (then in St. Lucia) had moved on with her fellow bachelorettes Gia Allemand, Tenley Molzhan, and Vienna Girardi. Ali`s very public heartbreak put her in the perfect place to land the next Bachelorette position. (It also didn`t hurt that she was a fan favorite during her time on The Bachelor.) Ali grew up in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with one sister, one brother, her parents, and grandmother (who is now deceased). After attending Mount Greylock Regional High School, where she played varsity soccer for four years, she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received the "Outstanding Undergraduate in Psychology" award from Clark University in May 2006 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ali moved to California after graduation in 2006. She worked as a Senior Communications Associate for Pacific Consulting Group from August 2006 to June 2009 and took her job as Online Sales Operations Account Management at Facebook in July 2009. Ali and her Facebook job took center stage on The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. She was forced to decide between staying in the competition to win Jake Pavelka’s love (while leading Team We Hate Vienna Girardi) or voluntarily leaving at the final four to keep her job. The career-minded woman she is, Ali chose her job. She later regretted the decision — a la Ed Swiderski of Jillian Harris’ Season 5 of The Bachelorette — and called Jake, pleading to return to the show. D`oh! After Ali put her heart on the line, Jake informed her it was too late and that he`d moved on. Ouch. But it`s not too late for Ali now! Admitting she made one of the biggest mistakes of her life, she has let go of everything this time — her apartment, her job, her stability — to really make a life-changing commitment to put her heart first. Ali is now looking for a reliable, funny and humble guy who can challenge her. In an interview with BuddyTV, Ali admits she`s "looking for a guy like the character Tom from (500) Days Of Summer. He is my dream guy." (Good luck with that one, A!) Even though this bachelorette dumped love for work, she loves to play. She enjoys hiking, wake boarding, and playing soccer, but also takes pleasure in going to wine tastings.
