Atanes is British glamour model best known for being romantically linked to British rappers and football players. In 2006, Atanes was an aspiring glamour model who was not signed to a legitimate model agency. Like many of her peers, she tried out for the Miss England beauty contest. She was 6th Runner-Up as Brighton delegate. Following that, Atanes became a promotional model working at nightclubs. She eventual landed work as a hip-hop video girl as well as some print work for some men's magazines including SuperBike and an Ultratone ad. Atanes also did some catalog with local London shop Charas. Unable to make a living modeling, Atanes worked at Arecrombie & Fitch with former friend Kellie Acreman. It wasn't until Atanes sold her story about her alleged romances with Kieran Richardson and Freddie Ljungberg to the News of the World that she was able to become a full time model and land a legitimate commercial agency to represent her. Atanes went on a social media blitz creating buzz about her self. Unfortunately, Atanes received major backlash from female football fans and was forced to take down her Myspace pages. During which time, Atanes likened herself a pop star and was signed to girlband Feenix. Atanes was later dropped from Feenix due to her lack of vocal prowess needed for the R&B girl group. Following that, Atanes began a relationship with Jermain Pennant. At the same time, Atanes was filming WAGS World where she claimed to be almost engaged to Ljungberg despite living with Pennant. Shortly after, Atanes and Pennant broke up due to an altercation Atanes has with Pennant's on-again-off-again love Amii Grove. During which time, Atanes career was at all time high landing men's magazine work with Men's Health, Stuff Magazine, Nuts, and Daily Mail. She even landed a Head & Shoulders and V6 commercial. She was also the face of Sugagloss Sex Toys. In 2009, her career slowed down majorly. She focused her attention to acting and landed some bit roles in some B-list English movies. That same year Atanes took to twitter where she divulged information about her relationships which caused her to harrassed on twitter. As a result, she has changed her handle from theanara, to anaratanes, and then to _anara_. Atanes claimed to be in a relationship with Ljungberg and even claimed he was going to be shooting a Britney Spears music video despite Britney not recording an album. That same year, Atanes began filming an Indian film which is yet to be released. Atanes land some minor work for the Daily Mail, News of the World, and prom catalog work. By 2011, Atanes refocused her career back to music where she joined British girl group Fanfair. Despite not being signed to a record label, the group landed a deal with Rugby team the London Irish in which they sang at every home game. At the same time, Atanes was romantically linked with footballer Ashley Cole. She was reportedly the reason why Cole broke up with Kayla Collins. In February, Fanfair also were an opening act at some of the Wanted's English tour dates. The group has yet to release an album or sign a record deal. Also in February, Atanes landed a campaign with SKYN Condoms. In September 2012, Atanes was kicked out of Fanfair for neglecting the group and a failure to make performance, practices, and recording sessions. Atanes spent the summer traveling with several different basketball players as per her twitter feed. By the end of 2012, Atanes was featured in FHM. In 2012, Fanfair fans campaign for Anara to be a Victoria Secret model on twitter. She has never modeled for Victoria Secret despite The Sun reporting that she did.
