Barbara Palvin is a Hungarian Fashion model.
Palvin was born in Budapest, Hungary. At an early age, Palvin took up soccer and singing, considering them her favorite hobbies.[1].
Modeling career
Palvin was discovered on the streets of Budapest in 2006 at the age of 13[1] when she shot her first editorial for Spur Magazine. After that, Palvin moved to Asia where she continued a steady stream of bookings[2]. Since then, Palvin has been seen on the cover of L'Officiel, Vogue Russia, Glamour Hungary & Jalouse Magazine.[3] In addition, she has appeared in editorials for Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Paris, British Vogue, W Magazine, Numéro, Spanish Vogue, Russian Vogue & more.[2] Her runway debut was as an exclusive for Prada during Milan Fashion Week in Feb. 2010.[1] From there, Palvin has walked for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Chanel (where she opened the show), Emanuel Ungaro, Christopher Kane, Julien MacDonald, Jeremy Scott, Vivienne Westwood, Etro, among others.
Palvin is ranked in the top 50 on the Top 50 Models Women List by models.com.[4] She is known for her pouty-lipps and lusciously-tressed hair.[2] Palvin is often compared to Russian model Natalia Vodianova; British Vogue editor Miranda Almond has said ""We chose Barbara because she is absolutely exquisite looking a cross between a young Brooke Shields and Natalia Vodianova" [5]. Palvin credits Vodianova and Kate Moss as her favorite models.[6]
