Dorota Rabczewska (born February 15, 1984), more commonly known as Doda, is a Polish musical artist, among the most successful Polish artists ever in terms of number of prizes won. She was first known as a member of the Polish rock band Virgin. After the group disbanded she continued with a solo career releasing an album in 2007 called Diamond Bitch and another album The Seven Temptations which was released in 2011. She was featured on CNN, as the tenth most famous Pole in history. In 2011 Polish magazine Viva! put her among ten most influential women in Poland.

Doda was born to Wanda and Pawe³ Rabczewski. She has an older brother, Rafa³. She was featured on CNN, as the tenth most famous Pole. In 2011 polish magazine Viva! put her among ten most influantial women in Poland. In her youth she was coached in athletics for four years (long jump, 100 metres). She won the Championships at Voivodeship for 1000 and 600 metres and shot put. She also won bronze in the Polish Championships. She then quit sport for a musical career. Doda started this career as a teenager, at the Buffo Theatre in Warsaw. Simultaneously she was taking singing lessons from El¿bieta Zapendowska (one of the most famous teachers of singing in Poland). She earned popularity due to her participation in the reality show Bar. In 2000, at the age of 16, Rabczewska became the vocalist of the Polish rock band Virgin. In December 2005 and October 2007, she posed nude for the Polish edition of Playboy Magazine. She also posed for CKM Magazine several times. Rabczewska is a member of the Polish Mensa,[1] and is reported to have an IQ of 156 on the Cattell scale.[citation needed] On March 5, 2005, Rabczewska married Polish goalkeeper Rados³aw Majdan, whom she later divorced. At the 2005 Sopot International Song Festival, Rabczewska won the Srebrny S³owik Music Award. In 2006 she lent her voice to the dubbing for Asterix and the Vikings (as Abba). Doda received a Superjedynka award on National Festival of Polish Song in Opole in 2006. In 2007, she left Virgin to begin a solo career. Her first solo album released in 2007 was certified as gold on the day before its official release. In 2008 her album titled Diamond Bitch was certified a double platinum after 60,000 copies of the album had been sold. Rabczewska takes part in a reality show Jazda z Dod± which is aired on TVN Turbo. In 2009, recent media, especially www.pudelek.pl the most popular gossip website in Poland, reported that she was seen with Pawel Grom (http://nasza-klasa.pl/profile/6652437), a member of CK4 group from one of the most popular Polish internet portals naszaklasa.pl. Their relationship is somewhat mysterious since both of them try to avoid media attention. Doda won three awards at VIVA (Poland) Comet 2007 in the following categories: Female Artist of the Year, Image of the Year, Video of the Year (for Katharsis videoclip). At MTV Europe Music Awards 2007 Doda won in the category Best Polish Act. Doda also received a Superjedynka on 2008 National Festival of Polish Song in Opole as the Best Artist.
