Actress-model Elizabeth Gutierrez was born in the United States to Mexican parents. The youngest of 6 sisters and 1 brother, she moved to Jalisco, Mexico when she was five years old to study. She then returned to the United States when she was ten years old.
Elizabeth participated in the reality show Protagonistas de Novela 2. She also appeared as a model on the program "The Price is Right." Her first telenovela is Olvidarte Jamas, under Venevision International, where she worked with William Levy, with whom she will later have a child.
She and Levy likewise worked together in the telenovela Acorrolada under Univision. In said telenovela, her character, Paola was killed off, because she, as well as Levy was accepted to be a part of the Televisa production "Pasion." Together with their child, Gutierrez and Levy travelled to Mexico.
Her first leading role was in the telenovela "Amor Comprado" of Univision, where she starred opposite Jose Angel Llamas.
In 2008, she got her biggest break to date from Telemundo in the highly successful telenovela "El Rostro de Analia."
Elizabeth Gutiérrez is said to be 3 months pregnant with a second child to her partner, Cuban actor William Levy. She gave birth to her second child on the weekend of March 6, a healthy baby girl named Kailey Alexandra Levy. This is the second child for Elizabeth and William, the first being Christopher Alexander.She debuted in 2005 in Olvidarte Jamas, playing a supporting antagonist role. Her character was murdered at the final of the series.
In 2006 she brought to life Paola, an addicted to drug woman that finally dies in a car accident in the Univision production Acorralada.
She was accepted to take part in the Televisa project Pasión (telenovela), but due to unknown reasons, she didn`t play any role in it.
The year 2007 brought Elisabeth her first leading role in Amor Comprado where she played Mariana, a poor woman who marries a millionaire for money, but who falls in love with him.
In 2008, Elizabeth met international fame in the Telemundo series El Rostro de Analia where she played double role (the leading one and a major supporting one). The series proved to be one one of the most viewed of the past years, becoming the third most viewed serial in 2009 behind En nombre del amor and The Young and the Restless. It was Telemundo`s best production that year.
In the same year she starred in her fist movie, playing Melanie in the comedy Fotonovela (movie).
She was offered the main antagonist role in the 2009 Telemundo production Bella Calamidades, but refused it in favor of a new Televisa production.
In 2009, she portrayed a main antagonist role in the fifth remake of Corazón Salvaje. For her work as Rosenda, she received a nomination at the 2010 edition of TV y Novelas Awards for Revelacion Feminina (Female Revelation).
She was to be part of the Telemundo production La Buena, La Mala y La Tonta along Gaby Espino, Maritza Rodriguez and Christian Meier, but the project was cancelled. She would have played La Tonta.
She is playing the leading role in the 2010 Telemundo production El Fantasma de Elena. The telenovela proved successful, it`s first episode reaching 5.5 rating. It has topped El Cartel 2 and it`s expected to grow in rating due to positive critics by viewers.
