Ethel Shutta, best remembered as Eddie Cantor`s nurse in his movie Whoopee! (1930) was in the 1920s a well-known stage actress. She was married with the band leader George Olsen, with whom she also sang in clubs and on radio. In the late 1930s she worked on her own as a singer, made a Broadway comebacks in 1943 and later in 1963 and 1971.
