Gackt Camui , born July 4, 1973 is a Japanese musician. Usually referred to by his mononymous stage name (often stylized as GACKT), he is known as the former vocalist for the now-defunct band Malice Mizer and for his current career as a solo artist. Besides Japanese, he has performed in English, Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Gackt has released nine albums and thirty-four singles as a solo musician. His music has been used as theme songs for various anime, television dramas, and video games, such as New Fist of the North Star, Bujingai, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and Kamen Rider Decade, amongst others. He co-starred and co-wrote the 2003 film Moon Child and acted in the NHK drama Fūrin Kazan as Uesugi Kenshin.

Gackt Camui (神威楽斗, Kamui Gakuto^?, born July 4, 1973), known mononymously as Gackt, is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, actor, and author. He has been active since 1994, first as the frontman of the short-lived independent band Cains:Feel, then for the now defunct visual kei rock band Malice Mizer, before starting his solo career in 1999. He has released nine studio albums and, with forty-two singles released, holds the male soloist record for most top ten singles in Japan music history. His single "Returner (Yami no Shūen)", released on June 20, 2007, was his first and only single to reach the number one spot on the Oricon charts. He became the first Japanese artist to release his music catalog on iTunes in October 2007.
