Jonathan Scarfe (born December 16, 1975 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actor. He is married to actress Suki Kaiser and is the son of actors Alan Scarfe and Sara Botsford. On television he played Chase Carter, the drug-abusing cousin of John Carter on ER. His other guest appearances include NYPD Blue, CSI: Miami, Cold Case and The L Word. In 1999, Scarfe portrayed Sheldon Kennedy in, "The Sheldon Kennedy Story", which follows the true story of the former Calgary Flame who, after years of self blame and secrecy, found the courage to speak out against his former coach/mentor Graham James and the sexual abuse he had to endure. In 2004, he portrayed Jesus in the movie-made-for-TV of Judas. On the big screen, he will appear as protagonist Nicholas Brady in the 2009 film adaptation of John Alan Simon`s adaptation of Philip K. Dick`s Radio Free Albemuth. As of July 2009[update] he appears as Charlie Sagansky in the new TNT series, Raising the Bar. He has also made a significant appearance in recently filmed movie series, "The Work and the Glory", in which he portrays the Mormon prophet, Joseph Smith. In 2003 he starred in Burn: The Robert Wraight Story.
