Kate Humble began her television career as a researcher for children`s programmes such as The Chroma Zone and Parallel 9, before getting her big break as co-presenter on Animal Hospital. This then led on to a stint as a presenter on Top Gear and numerous reports for Holiday. Her TV work to date has reflected her main interests - travel, science and wildlife. Into the first category falls her work on Holiday and its various spinoffs, while her science shows include the geology series The Essential Guide To Rocks and the programme she names as her favourite to work on, Rough Science. Considered a "safe pair of hands" for live TV work, she co-hosted the last series of Tomorrow`s World and live events including the successful underwater wildlife specials The Abyss. Since 2005, she has co-hosted Springwatch, adding its spinoff, Autumnwatch, in 2006. She is married to TV producer Ludo Graham, and the couple have two teenage sons, Bertie and Lawrence.
