Mark Alexander Ballas Jr. (born May 24, 1986) is an American dancer. At a young age, he moved to London, in the UK, where he began his performing career. He remained in London until 2007, when he moved back to the US.

At the age of 4 Mark joined the Italia Conti Academy of Dramatic arts associate school, where his training in Singing/Dancing and Acting began. At the age of 11 Mark earned a place full time at the Academy and earned a Full Scholarship to the college and in his Graduating year in 2005 Won performer of the year.... At age 10 he succeeded in becoming The British Juvenile Ballroom and Latin American dance Champion... Then moved on to become the British Open to the world, US Open to the World and International Open to the World Junior Latin American dance Champion (with his partner Julianne Hough) Olympic Gold Medal winner at the Junior Olympics. Mark then went on to become the The British Open to the World, US open to the World, International Open to the World Twice, United Kingdom, Youth Latin American Dance Champion. Has a band, "Almost Amy", with his friend Derek Hough. Learned dancing at his parents` dance studio in Houston, Texas. Other students included his "Dancing with the Stars" (2005/I) friends, Derek Hough and Julianne Hough.
