Michael Fassbender (born 2 April 1977) is a German-born Irish actor. He is probably best known to international audiences for playing Lt. Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. His other credits include Jane Eyre, the Sky One television series Hex, the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, Zack Snyder's 300, and the 2008 BAFTA-winning film Hunger.
