Nolan Gerard Funk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and has an older sister. His interest in music was piqued at an early age, as one of his earliest childhood memories is singing while his mother played the piano. Funk is involved in environmental causes and is also active in a charity named Champions Against Bullying. He is also involved with Nickelodeon`s The Big Green Help, which promotes environmental awareness among children and teenagers. In addition to his work in Spectacular!, produced by Nickelodeon Movies, he has also made numerous guest starring appearances on shows including Supernatural, The L Word, Smallville, Lie to Me, and a recurring role on Aliens in America.
