Arias got her start on telenovela series in Peru and Miami for the Hispanic market before earning her first role on American television. From May 17, 2004 through August 15, 2007 she played Paloma Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC television soap opera Passions. When Passions moved from NBC to DirecTV, Arias decided to leave the part. It has since been played by Hannia Guillen. She acted in the novel Gata Salvaje as jimena Arismendi.
