Trace Dempsey Cyrus (born February 24, 1989) is an American musician. He was a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist in the band Metro Station before the band broke up. He is the owner of a clothing company called From Backseats to Bedrooms. Cyrus is the adopted son of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. He is the older brother of Miley Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, and Noah Cyrus, and the younger brother of Brandi Cyrus.

He was formerly a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist for the band Metro Station and presently holds those same positions in the band Ashland HIGH. He is also the owner of a clothing company called From Backseats to Bedrooms. Cyrus is the adopted son of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, whose face is tattooed on the back of his hand. He is the older brother of Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus. Cyrus's biological mother is Leticia "Tish" Finley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus' wife. His biological father is Baxter Neal Helson, but he was adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus as a young child. He spent the summers of his youth on tour with Billy Ray. Until Metro Station released their first and only record, Cyrus was best known as the older brother of Miley Cyrus, the star of the Disney Channel original television series Hannah Montana. Cyrus was introduced on the Hannah Montana set to another cast member's sibling, Mason Musso (brother of cast member Mitchell Musso), in a jamming session arranged by their mothers. The two went on to form the electropop band Metro Station, for which Cyrus played guitar, contributed vocals, and wrote. Columbia Records signed the band after an intern at the record label saw their MySpace page. After one record and three years of touring, Metro Station went on indefinite hiatus so that Cyrus and Musso could pursue solo projects. Cyrus' solo project Ashland HIGH has merited minor underground success. Cyrus is also notorious for his tattoo addiction. Among his numerous tattoos are an eagle across his chest, "Stay Gold" on his knuckles, Billy Ray Cyrus' face on the back of his hand, and several facial tattoos including a feather, a cross, and cursive lettering. He received his first tattoo before the age of 18. Cyrus has also gained mild attention through dating scene queen Hannabeth Merjos and Disney stars Demi Lovato and Brenda Song, though none of the relationships lasted long.
