Tracy Ann Austin Holt (born December 12, 1962, in Palos Verdes, California) is a former World No. 1 female professional tennis player from the United States who won the women's singles title at the US Open in 1979 and 1981 and the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon in 1980, before a series of injuries cut her career short.

Biography At the age of 14, Tracy Austin became the youngest winner of a pro tournament. That same year, she reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open despite not being seeded. In 1979, Tracy Austin won her first major title by defeating Chris Evert at the Italian Open, stopping Evert’ 125-match clay court winning streak. Tracy also became the youngest player ever — at the age of 16 — to win the U.S. Open. In 1980, Tracy Austin set another record by becoming the youngest number 1 ranked player in tennis history. Also, Tracy and her brother, John became the only brother/sister team to win Wimbledon mixed doubles. She then won her second U.S. Open title in 1981 by defeating Martina Navratilova in a tiebreak finish. Tracy Austin was named the Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year in 1979 and in 1981. In 1980 she was named Women’s Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year. Tracy was also the youngest inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
