XHOANA will take you on a ride. With propulsive beats, pulsating rhythms and sexy vocal style, she revs up dance music for the 21st century. The song instantly established her presence, quickly garnering numerous downloads and plays online. However, "Blow My Mind" only set the foundation for XHOANA's forthcoming debut. She describes her enigmatic sound best. "It's not just pop, its super pop. Before I ever sang, I danced. That full body rhythm is always going to be incorporated into my music because it's just such a huge part of me. It's a conduit for me to convey different emotions. Everything falls under the umbrella of dance." You'll want to dance the second you hear songs like "Ride It." It's glittery gutter electro-pop with a dirty streak that's devilish in just the perfect places. She goes on, "When I started working on the song, I had just watched Rebel Without a Cause. There are references to the film in the lyrics, but 'Ride It' is really a dirty ride around L.A. with nothing but trouble and fun in store." XHOANA retreated to a Southern California studio with producer Peter Amato [Ricky Martin, LeAnn Rimes] and quickly emerged with some truly explosive aural gems. About working with Amato, she adds, "We instantly clicked. He'd play the piano, and I'd write lyrics along to it. It was effortless. We’d just sit there and do our thing. I've never had that kind of chemistry with a producer before." The young singer and performer also delves deeper than most of her contemporaries. There's a tangible message at the heart of songs like "Break Free" and "Dolce Vita." Often in can be inspired by everything from a high art fashion shoot in Vogue or a classic film like The Scarlet Empress. For XHOANA, the world is locked and loaded with all kinds of creative ammo. "A lot of my ideas for songs come from people I've seen or met, different characters and lifestyles" she reveals. "Everyone I've met or talked to has been an influence on my songs in way or another.
