Brick Lane is an award-winning 2007 British drama film directed by Sarah Gavron and adapted from the novel of the same name by Monica Ali. The screenplay was adapted from the novel by Laura Jones and Abie Morgan, and Tannishtha Chatterjee played the lead role. The film had its first public screening at the Telluride Film Festival.
