A carnival magician deserts his wife when he finds out she's pregnant. She then marries the carnival's barker, who is a drunk. After enduring all his abuse, she finds herself attracted to a young engineer.
Lilly Turner is a 1933 melodrama about a woman who marries a bigamist, then a drunk, and falls in love with another man, all while working at a carnival. It was based on the 1932 play of the same name by Phillip Dunning and George Abbott.
